In the last few months, we have been making progress on different new features in KuFlow. For us, the voice of the user is very important, and after receiving some suggestions, we got down to work to incorporate new features in KuFlow that we would like to share with you.
User Actions:
User Actions are custom behaviors invoked at the user's request at any stage of a given process. Unlike tasks, which arise depending on how a workflow is executed, a User Action allows the execution of additional routines, providing enormous flexibility to business processes. Currently, we have implemented two types of User Actions, although we plan to create more in the future:
- “Downloadable”: Allows the content generated by a workflow, to be downloaded as a file and saved locally.
- “Start Related Process”: Allows you to start a new process, from the current one. The new process will appear as a child process of the process that instantiated it, and it will be possible to navigate from one to another at any time. You can learn more about User Actions in our documentation
Automatic synchronization of changes in processes
The visualization of processes and tasks has been improved in the User Interface (UI). From now on, the changes made, including those made by other users or by automatic tasks (workers), will be instantly reflected in the web interface. This change ensures that we are always looking at the latest applied change and the latest information about any process or task, without the need to refresh the page. Goodbye to F5!
User and Organization profile photo
Personalization helps improve day-to-day interactions, and that is now possible in KuFlow.
To apply an avatar photo at the user level, simply click on your image in the side menu, select the one you like and give it the settings you prefer.
It is also possible to customize the avatar of the organization, which can be done from the administration page of the organization, in the “Organization” section.
Field validation
We have incorporated a set of validations in the fields available in the tasks, in order to find improvements in the integrity of the data:
- It is now possible to require validations of type Length, URL or Email Format, in the types field “Text”.
- It is also possible to require validations of type "equal to", "less/greater than" and "less/greater than or equal to", for fields of type "Number" used as elements and metadata of processes and/or tasks.
- More than one validation can be used per field.
Finally, if you don't want to display generic platform error messages, you can specify specific messages in “custom error text”
Retrieving an archived process definition
It is now possible to retrieve a process definition that has been archived, modify it, if necessary, and redeploy it. Welcome rollback, our great old friend!
Changes in UI
The general behavior of the User Interface (UI) has been improved so that the experience is optimal on any device.
The changes made you can see, for example, in the behavior of action dropdowns and other elements.
At KuFlow we continue to work on providing the best possible experience to our users. We hope to be able to communicate new improvements as a result of the evolution of our product.
Remember that we are open to input from our community because we believe in continuous improvement. Any feedback you can give us will help us. To do this, remember that we have a forum, and presence on social networks and that you can write to us at kuflow@kuflow.com.
